Dwarfs, pixies and little dark people (h/t Myth & Moor). Fairies and sprites are real. I've seen two fairies for certain, and dozens of sprites and pixies, along with several Miyazaki-like forest spirits. And susuwatari, of course. Those guys are everywhere. I'm not so sure about dwarfs, gnomes or trolls. I suspect they're out there, but I haven't run into any. At least not that I know of.
In other news, humpback whales are saving creatures from orcas around the globe (MNN).
