Bren's second swallowtail made it away safely today,

it fluttered in the garden briefly before coming back to land again on Bren's arm,

as if to say thanks, or so long, and then it took off boldly into the wind.

Cora just missed stepping on a couple monarch babies yesterday and I thought, 

a horse ranch ain't a great place for these little fellas, so I brought 'em home.

They've both chrysalises now, safe and unhoofsquished.

Bren raised this black swallowtail, 30 days from egg to butterfly.
