Saw a pair of coyotes loping down our street at 5:00 a.m. I made some kissing noises and said, "Heeeere, coyotes!" but they didn't stop to say hello. Must have been late for a meeting or something. They're not too prevalent in these parts; I often hear them when I'm camping but rarely see them. This was the first time I've spotted them in our neighborhood. Lock up the kitties, Mabel.
Were you by yourself or with dogs?

DeleteI saw two on a road near our house the other day. They were great looking--not scruffy at all. They gave me the stink-eye and we parted ways. Maybe your 2 were on their way to meet up with my 2. I don't really recommend inviting them over--they bite people in the butt round these parts.
