An armadillo dug up all of our tepary beans; it shoved the chicken-wire fence frame to the side and dove right in. Probably looking for grubs. That's OK. The beans weren't doing too well. We got enough of them to re-plant next year, but not enough to make a meal of 'em. (They're awfully pretty beans - tan with a bright, thin red outline around the whaddayacallit, bean-hole.)
