A roadrunner stopped by while we were playing in the round pen today, and there's a wizened dragonlog guarding the stock pond. (Equines see dragons everywhere; they're not always imagining them!)

1 & 2 - Anacacho orchids normally bloom March to May. 3 - Our grass is greener in winter than summer. 4 - I counted ten species of butterflies but this pair of queens were the only ones I could catch up with. 

Temperatures will start falling this afternoon and be below freezing tomorrow morning, and it will be cold all week.
