Seems like something miraculous happens every time we go to the preserve. Today we got Mike's farewell message just as we were leaving.

new vehicle!

We traded in the Mazda for a Jeep Patriot. We needed more room for the dogs. The color was a little off-putting when we first saw it at the dealership, but I came around when I realized that it's a really organic color, and we're just not used to seeing such colors on man-made objects. (Jeep calls it "rescue green." I call it "algae.") We'll have no problem finding it in parking lots, but we might lose it if we park it in the woods.
