we have red-winged blackbirds in our yard. They eat the dog's food if we leave her bowl outside. They're loud and I'm scared of them because one pecked Karen's head as we walked at a lake once. This one looks relatively harmless and seems helpful...but if they're anything like their relatives, watch your head!! hee hee
We have those around here, too, but they're usually farther away from town. They're interesting - the females gather in huge all-girl flocks in the winter. I don't know where the boys go. Probably watching football somewhere.
